Jeanne L. Murtaugh
Jeanne L. Murtaugh is Director of BNY ConvergEx Group, LLC, a leading firm in agency brokerage and investment technology solutions and Vice Chairman of BNY ConvergEx Execution Solutions. BNY ConvergEx Group was formerly BNY Securities Group, the wholly-owned brokerage subsidiary of the Bank of New York.
Mrs. Murtaugh joined The Bank of New York in 1997 through the acquisition of BNY Brokerage where she was a lead principal and served as Vice Chairman and a Director of the Company since 1988.Mrs. Murtaugh began her career at J.P. Morgan, then served in various management positions at Wachovia Bank where she established the Bank’s retail brokerage business and global custody services, and subsequently at Morgan Stanley & Co. through its ESI subsidiary.
Mrs. Murtaugh has played a pivotal role in strategies and technologies which address the equity markets, developing one of the first electronic trading and connectivity platforms, as well as creating the models for commission management and independent research for BNY Securities Group; now BNY ConvergEx. She is active in various financial services groups and is a member of the Global Investment Technology Leadership Roundtable.
Mrs. Murtaugh earned a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina and attended the Young Executives Institute at the Keenan School of Business at Chapel Hill.
Mrs. Murtaugh has been a major contributor and sponsor for Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, North Carolina Juvenile Diabetes, ALS Association, Make-A-Wish Foundation, numerous Catholic charities, and a member of the Women’s Initiative of United Way’s Alexis de Tocqueville Society.
Dennis Pelino
Mr. Dennis Pelino is a founder of Xinhua Financial Network and has served as a Director of that firm since September 2001. Mr Pelino is also a founder of Xinhua Finance Media although he does not serve as an officer or Board Member of this subsidiary.
Mr. Pelino is an internationalist who, throughout his career in international shipping and logistics, has acquired over 70 companies in various countries throughout the world. His 25 years in international business with a prominent focus on Asia has been instrumental in assisting the strategic evolution of Xinhua Finance's group of companies.
Mr .Pelino has owned and operated numerous companies in Logistics and Transportation services, and has served in key Board and Executive positions in such global logistics companies as OOCL and Fritz Companies which he was instrumental in building from a 40 million dollar private company to a 1.2 billion dollar Publicly listed company on the Nasdaq which was ultimately acquired in 2001 by UPS for 420 million USD.
Most recently, as Founder and Chairman of Stonepath Logistics Group, Mr. Pelino, after building the company to over 400 million USD in revenue over 4 years, sold the company in March of 2007 to MFC Ltd, a prominent banking firm in Hong Kong and London.
